China Glaze 'New Birth' The Giver limited edition

Who doesn't like a beautiful off white polish?

'New Birth' from China Glaze is from the new movie 'The Giver' & it has its own limited edition collection. This is my own personal swatch and review of it in three thin coats plus Seche Vite fast drying top coat.

I found the first coat to be very streaky. As for the second coat, it covered pretty well but still had a few streaks but you could totally get away with just two coats! As for me, I wanted to be sure to get a full coverage and decided to add a third coat. I personally love this shade. Its an off white coming across with a slight blue/grey in the color.

How come I don't know anything about this book/movie? I mean, I don't read books often nor watch television daily.. I suppose I could watch the movie trailer on YouTube on this movie to get a more clearer picture of what its about! LOL!

I know for sure if I had more time and more money, I would've grabbed three more to add on this collection because it is an limited edition collection!!

I Recycle, ADD (new polishes) & of course.. Reuse! (older polishes too, that is!)

In case you don't know, I am a girl who likes to recycle my manicures & reuse the polishes that I have already because most of the time.. I am not in the budget to buy new ones.

I am quite grateful that I feel that I don't need to have ALL the indie polishes or the entire new collections from China Glaze or OPI and Zoya. Otherwise, my nail polish collection at home will be over 1,000 bottles! When I know that a new collection has come out, I usually pick out three out of twelve or however many a polish brand comes out with that I really like so that I don't spend too much money. This is where I would like to thank all of the beautiful swatchers out there in the nail art community!! LOL!

Plus, a bonus for me is that I never buy the entire collection because I may already have a similar shade at home or that I just know I won't ever use it because I may not like it. Though, if I could buy the entire collection for an awesome price.. I would grab it in a heartbeat for sure! LOL! Who wouldn't?!

For those of you who follow me for my nail art on Facebook.com/maipaintednail and on instagram.com/mai.painted.nails, I would like to thank you for sticking around! I may always use the same old polishes on my daily or every other day manicure(s) but I like to try to switch it up a bit, even though I like to do ombres and gradient. 😊😜

I hope you guys will stick around longer for more of me! I appreciate it!!

Subtle gradient with hand painted roses

Today's manicure consists of a bed of roses all hand painted with acrylic paints over a very neutral, pink gradient.

Polishes used on this manicure are by Essie 'Sugar Daddy' for the base of each nail, while 4 thin coats are applied over it with Pure Ice 'Mer-Magical' & topped with my favorite fast drying top coat Seche Vite.

I've seen roses and just pretty floral prints on manicures lately that I just had to do it on my own nails. I really enjoy flowers, I don't think this particular nail art can ever be overdone with as to chevron and polka dots have been.
